Case Management Supervisor

Case Management Supervisor : Somerton/Bustleton neighborhood


 

CORA Services is a non-profit agency whose mission is to assist youth, children, and families experiencing emotional, academic, and social challenges which impede their development and productivity. CORA provides this assistance throughout the greater Philadelphia area.


 

George Washington High Community School, located in the Somerton/Bustleton neighborhood of Philadelphia, is a Philadelphia public high school selected by the City of Philadelphia for Community School designation and supports. CORA is searching for a Case Management Supervisor to lead and be a part of a 3-person team, committed to serving, supporting and strengthening the George Washington High School community. The Case Management Supervisor will assist with the implementation and ongoing operation of family support services, including the delivery of socio-economic case management, navigation, family forums and resource funding. The Supervisor will work with the community schools core team and school staff to ensure that the approach to Case Management is targeted to intervene and support immediate needs of families, but also preventative in nature. The team will help families increase protective factors, increase family functioning, increase family engagement in school activities and increase student's attitudinal connectivity and relationship to school, which, in turn, will increase student attendance and achievement.


 

The Case Management Supervisor is passionate and committed to making a difference in the lives of youth and families in the Somerton neighborhood. The Supervisor is a collaborative leader who is able to balance big-picture orientation with careful attention to details, establish strong relationships with school staff, partners and families, and creatively motivate staff and encourage change.


 

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • Masters' level degree in Social Work or related field
  • Three or more years of experience in social services
  • At least two years of supervisory experience specifically related to children and families
  • Demonstrated ability in supervision/administration
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reside in zip code 19116 or have a strong familiarity with the community - including its resources, assets and needs
