Job Title: Project Coordinator

 

Crauderueff Solar is a mission-based solar consultancy headquartered in New York City with a presence across New York State and the nation. Our driving question has always been: how can we help communities - especially disadvantaged communities - scale climate resilient infrastructure? For this reason, we focus primarily on serving affordable housing and low-income property owners, in addition to a market-based portfolio.

 

Job Overview:

 We are seeking a highly motivated entry-level Project Coordinator to assist with project management and business development activities. The successful candidate will help ensure that solar projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, as well as assisting with business development activities. As a rapidly growing, mission-based company, we are looking for a candidate who is ready to coordinate projects and assist with business development activities.  The Project Coordinator will receive direct mentorship and support from the company CEO.  The position is available with a start date by June 1.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project coordination

• Represent the owner's interests throughout the solar project lifecycle, from scoping, design and engineering to construction and commissioning 

• Drafting project feasibility studies 

• Work with the project engineer to ensure that the solar project is designed and built in accordance with the owner's requirements, including scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards 

• Coordinate the selection and performance of engineering, procurement and construction contractors, ensuring that they meet the owner's expectations and contractual obligations 

• Oversee the development and implementation of project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans 

• Conduct regular project meetings with the design, engineering, and construction teams to review progress, identify issues, and resolve problems 

• Ensure that all project documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports, is accurate, complete, and up to date 

• Monitor project costs, schedule, and quality, providing regular updates to the owner and stakeholders

 • Prepare project reports, including progress reports 

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with project outcomes 

• Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the resources and information they need to succeed

• Track, review, and report on public policy updates nationally, at the state level and locally

 

Business development 

• Support marketing efforts

• Intake new prospects 

• Assist with the development of preliminary feasibility studies 

• Assist with sales-related activities

• Proposal writing 

• Identification and support of new business relationships 

• Grant writing on an as-needed basis 

• Site visits/analysis on an as-needed basis

 

Other activities 

• Special projects on a case-by-case basis 

• Additional responsibilities as necessary

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental economics, sustainable development or equivalent with at least 0 to 1 year of experience

• Understanding of clean energy incentives, policies and regulations

• Financial modeling/excel-based modeling preferred

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

• Successful track record of project coordination a plus 

• Understanding of engineering (structural, electrical) a plus

• GIS a plus

• Design skills a plus

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills 

• Experience and willingness to learn financial analysis 

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Willingness to travel as required 

• Interest in growing a mission-based solar start-up

 

Salary Range:

  • $65,000 to $75,000, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Annual performance-based bonuses on a discretionary basis
