Position Title: Fiscal Analyst

Salary: $65,037 - $65,037

Job Description
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for a Fiscal Analyst in its Fiscal Unit. In this position, the Analyst oversees and monitors cash operations, prepares credit card reconciliation, monitors, and closes outstanding advances, and provide other support as needed to the Fiscal Unit.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Monitor and process Fiscal payment requests and ensure accuracy and timely completion of the requests.
Responsible for quality control, including ensuring invoices are properly supported with back-up documentation, reviewing procurement documents to determine validity of items being invoiced, reviewing calculations of items being invoiced, and timely and correctly processing payments.
Maintain expense journals for petty cash and credit card transactions and ensure receipts and necessary approvals have been received for all transactions.
Monitor outstanding cash advances.
Prepare monthly credit card reconciliation.
Monitor travel requests and serve as the back-up for travel arrangements.
Serve as the back-up for processing employee reimbursement requests.
Support internal/external audits.
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, candidates must possess the following:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, business administration or a related-field preferred.
At least one-year related experience required.
Preferred Requirements/Skills:

Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong mathematical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access.
Ability to learn, update and edit Agency’s existing proprietary databases.
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workflow.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple short-term projects.
Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff and vendors.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize among competing needs and respond quickly to requests for information.

Additional Information:

Current office employees: To be eligible for a transfer or promotion, staff must have already served at least 1 year in their current position and be in good standing. In addition, must meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
Looking for candidates that could commit to one (1) year to the hiring unit.
Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:

High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
