Equipment Manager
OVERVIEW
To maintain and keep accurate records of athletic and physical education equipment inventory to ensure continued availability for use.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School education or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge and/or experience with athletic uniforms and equipment
- Knowledge or budget and inventory procedures helpful
- Interest and knowledge of sports preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, coaches and district personnel; ability to supervise student assistants
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines while working with minimum supervision
- Ability and willingness to work extra hours during sport seasons and to make overnight trips as required
- Ability to operate sewing machine
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain athletic and physical education equipment inventory
- Keep accurate records of inventory to account for all uniforms and athletic equipment
- Receive, label and distribute new uniforms and equipment
- Issue, repair and launder uniforms and equipment; collect uniforms
- Order replacement uniforms and equipment to ensure availability and adequate supply
- Select, pack and load equipment on vehicle when accompanying teams in scheduled trips
- Prepare teams for local and overnight trips as needed
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Set up fields, including scoreboard, for sports events; set up speakers for selected sport activities
- Clean mats for gymnastics and wrestling
- Assist with set up for various athletic events
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
