Job Description:

Responsibilities

The Senior Health Program Coordinator will work as part of the Community Outreach team within the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and will be responsible for overall logistical coordination of all meetings, training sessions and special events for the Bureau of EMS including the EMS Conference and NYS EMS  council meetings; perform contract coordination activities; assist in the coordination of the conference and online educational program; work with the team to provide community outreach to the EMS Community statewide through programing efforts and assistance with other community outreach grant initiatives of the Division of State Emergency Medical Systems; supervise staff and perform other appropriate related duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in public health or related field may substitute for one year of general experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Conferences and/or special events contract negotiation and management experience. Experience in the development of Requests for Proposals (RFP), review and award process. Certified Meeting Professional certification.  National Conference/Meeting Industry Certification/Credential. Experience using CVENT software package and/or other conference management software.  CVENT Event Management Certification and/or other industry software equivalent certifications; Experience with conferences and/or special events of at least 1,000 attendees. Experience in growing existing conferences.  Experience in email marketing software such as MailChimp or other similar software.  Website development and Search engine optimization (SEO).  Experience in growth of conference. Understanding of Emergency Medical Services continuing education requirements. Experience with delivery of online educational content.  Experience in development of community education and community outreach plans.  Experience in project management.   

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. 

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, up to 10% of the time, will be required.

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.

This position will require occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays.
