Draftsperson/Junior Designer
LB Architects, a mid-sized interior architecture firm in New York City, is currently hiring for a full-time Draftsperson/Junior Designer position, to begin immediately. We are looking for someone who has some degree of previous professional experience (e.g. summer internships, design build projects), has excellent design and representation skills, and is familiar with construction documents produced in Autocad.
Interested candidates must offer the following:
· a completed architecture or interior design degree from an accredited university or college (B.S,
B.Arch, M.Arch)
· Zero to three years of professional experience.
· excellent design, communication, and presentation skills
· understanding of construction drawing sets, how they are organized, etc.
· 100% proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D Max with Vray.

This position works closely with our senior designer and project manager as a supporting staff member in performing professional services and producing deliverables for commercial, landlord, and retail work in NY. The responsibilities would include developing designs, drafting, elevation renderings, photo-realistic renderings mood boards, CAD drawings, materials and furniture sourcing as well as to maintain project documentation.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Defines program requirements and establishes design parameters based on client requirements and working with senior architect and project manager.
· Creates and develops overall design concepts, schematic, design development and construction documents through detail level; formulates/leads design presentation strategies and makes presentations.
· Manages design process for specific tasks and projects; leads/supports the work of other designers and technical staff.
· Collaborates with design team members during the implementation of design to ensure clarity and quality of concept is maintained through detail level.
