School Nurse (part-time)

Collegiate is seeking a part-time nurse. 8:00 - 4:30 Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday through June 2024.

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is a tuition-free public charter academy, providing an academically challenging program in a safe, structured environment. CCSL opened its doors in September 2013 to serve students in K-3. The school has expanded each school year and currently serves students in K-12 as of the 2022-23 school year.

CCSL teachers’ primary assignment may be a specific grade level (including homeroom duties) or subject teaching to multiple classes/grades. The Teacher may also be assigned additional non-instructional duties such as proctoring exams, supervising recess or lunch, or leading a club/group/activity.

Nurse Job Responsibilities: The following duties and job description are not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of an employee in the absence of the Lead School Nurse:

  • Consult with teachers and other school personnel on health issues and facilitates in-service education as needed.
  • Collect and maintain public health/school health data using electronic health record and prepares reports concerning public health/school health data using electronic health records and prepares reports concerning public health/school health activities as required by Health Department.
  • Facilitates and contributes in communication-related to student health.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills:

  • Active/Current registration as a registered nurse with MBRN
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters in Nursing, or Master of Education
  • Currently certified or eligible for DESE certification (if not certified, must receive within 2 years)
  • Current MA CPR/AED certification
