BraunWeiss is approached by multiple non-profit organizations to run and manage few projects for them and we are looking for interns to gain hands on experience via this initiative. Through our partnership with philanthropic and charitable organizations you will be working on real projects helping the community while gaining hands on experience. 

This is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience on Finance, Accounting, Reporting and Financial Systems. Our interns not only work with real Financial data but also get training on industry tools.

Purpose of the role

The ideal candidate for this role is someone that is adept at multi-tasking, looking to explore a future in Finance and Analysis, and willing to learn new things. They should have basic understanding (or interest) of Finance and Financial Services. As a part of your internship you will be working with industry standard tools such as Oracle ERP, MS Dynamics, QuickBooks and have an opportunity to get certified based on your interest. You will be assigned real projects where you will be working closely with a project team and be a part of our initiatives.

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship presents an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis, data management, and investment research. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced analysts and portfolio managers to support various analytical tasks and projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from various sources, including financial statements, market data, and economic indicators.
  2. Assist in building and maintaining financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, performance, and risk factors.
  3. Conduct research and perform data-driven analysis to support investment decision-making processes.
  4. Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate key findings and insights to stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data management and analysis.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the financial services sector.
  7. Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors or senior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial concepts and principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Prior internship or relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis is preferred but not required.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards tackling challenges and acquiring new skills.
