KIDZ BOP Marketing Intern

The KIDZ BOP marketing team is responsible for marketing and public relations efforts across all departments, including initiatives in brand marketing, music streaming, sales and album releases, social media campaigns, ad campaigns, brand partnerships and sponsorships, live touring, video production, design, and more. 

  

As the KIDZ BOP Marketing Intern, you will get hands-on immersive experience working on marketing and public relations initiatives across all departments and facets of the brand (brand marketing, public relations, music streaming, sales, and album releases, social media, partnerships and sponsorships, live touring, video production, design) You will gain experience working on projects at all stages - from initial development to assisting in fully executing projects. You will also gain a better understanding of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Photoshop. 

 

 

Our paid internship program will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your professional skillset, increase your knowledge of the industry, and expand your network. Our goal is to help you develop your talents as well as receive dedicated mentorship and support. Our Summer Internship Program will run from Tuesday, June 4th  – Friday, August 16th and allows interns to work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This internship is a paid in-person opportunity and requires the ability to work in the specified office location. 

Responsibilities

What you'll do: 

 

Music, Brand, and Partner Marketing:   

  • Assist marketing team with executing brand partner initiatives including development of marketing materials, virtual events, social media campaigns, ad campaigns, and more 
  • Develop marketing materials and create kid-friendly content in brand voice (from social posts, talking points, marketing messaging etc) 
  • Support various tasks such as DSP and YouTube initiatives, scheduling out KIDZ BOP Roku channel, etc. 
  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects as needed 
  • Attend team meetings and 1:1s with supervisor 

Social Media:  

  • Assist with social media campaigns for new music, album releases, potential virtual events, and celebrity/influencer content management  

Press:  

  • Collaborate with PR department on development of press materials including press releases, press reports and calendars, pitch angles, and talking points.  

Qualifications

What you'll need: 

  • Have interest and familiarity with the KIDZ BOP music and brand  
  • A success candidate is a creative self-starter who can work on multiple projects simultaneously  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Google Docs.   
  • Passion for marketing, PR, or branded entertainment 
  • This internship is a part-time paid internship and requires someone located in/near New York City 
  • The timeline of this internship program runs from Tuesday, June 4th  – Friday, August 16th. You must be able to work 20 hours/week. 

The hourly rate for this position is $16.78
