Concord Originals Intern

As the Concord Originals Intern, you will gain an understanding of the development process: how to generate and identify compelling story ideas for prospective projects, how to evaluate scripts and treatments, how to assemble writers lists for active projects and how to identify meaningful co-producing partners. Overall, the goal will be to give you the opportunity to witness the development process spearheaded by the team to grow their understanding of how content is produced for screen. 

 

Our paid internship program will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your professional skillset, increase your knowledge of the industry, and expand your network. Our goal is to help you develop your talents as well as receive dedicated mentorship and support. Our Summer Internship Program will run from Tuesday, June 4th  – Friday, August 16th and allows interns to work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This internship is a paid in-person opportunity and requires the ability to work in the specified office location. 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do: 

 

  • Assemble writer/director lists for active projects  
  • Read submission materials (scripts and treatments) and provide feedback  
  • Track projects in development at other studios/production companies  
  • Research rights around compelling IP and music assets in the Concord universe  
  • Create development materials (one-pagers, pitch decks) for active projects if necessary 

 

Qualifications

What you'll need: 

 

  • Must be an excellent communicator with good writing abilities 
  • Have some knowledge about how Film and TV development works 
  • Passion for the industry and a desire for a career in it  
  • This internship is a part-time paid internship and requires someone located in/near Los Angeles 
  • The timeline of this internship program runs from June 4th  – Friday, August 16th. You must be able to work 20 hours/week. 

 

The hourly rate for this position is $16.78
