Summer Gallery Internship

Nathalie Karg Gallery is searching for highly motivated, organized individuals to work as interns with our team. 

 

Term: May – August 2024, 2-3 days a week. Start and end dates will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Must be based in the NY Metro area.

 

Primary Responsibilities:
– Updating artist bios and CVs
– Updating the website
– Adding works to our database
– Art related research projects
– Assist with exhibition planning and installation
– Assist with exhibition openings and other events
 

Qualifications:
– Successful candidates will be pursuing or have just completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Communications, or a related area
– Independent self-starter; ambitious hard-worker
– Basic knowledge of the contemporary art industry
– Strong written and verbal communications skills
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
– Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign

 

Educational Value:

The interns will learn the full spectrum of the gallery business including skills to conduct research, amend website and client-facing documents, draft and edit press materials and other literatures, and will be taught a mindset of attention to details. Interns will also practice their teamwork ability and leadership skills in a small team setting.

This position would provide the qualified intern with a well-rounded experience in a variety of areas of the gallery world.
