The I&T summer internship positions will be located onsite at our global corporate headquarters in King of Prussia, PA. Relocation will not provided.

Program Experience 

CSL’s Internship Program is a hands-on experience that showcases the daily innovation and operations of a leading biotechnology company. Our environment is collaborative, global, and purpose-driven. The 12-week experience will immerse students in meaningful, thought-provoking projects that contribute to CSL's promise to save lives and protect the health of people around the world. In addition to making an impact, students will develop personally and professionally while cultivating meaningful relationships.  

 

Main Responsibilities

As a Generative AI Intern, you will participate in:

  • Research and Development: Conduct research on state-of-the-art generative AI models and algorithms. Continuously improve and adapt these models to meet project requirements.
    • Assist in developing AI models, including selecting appropriate algorithms and architectures.
  • Model Training: Help develop and fine-tune generative AI models. Optimize model training procedures for efficiency and performance.
    • Run experiments with different models and parameters.
    • Analyze results and provide insights to the team.
  • Model Evaluation: Help implement evaluation metrics and techniques to assess the quality, creativity, and relevance of generated content.
    • Conduct rigorous testing of AI models to evaluate performance and accuracy.
    • Document bugs and issues, and work on resolving them.
  • Performance Optimization: Help optimize model performance in terms of speed, resource utilization, and scalability.
    • Implement AI algorithms under the guidance of senior team members.
    • Adapt existing algorithms to new datasets or problem domains.
  • Ethical AI Practices: Understand and apply ethical considerations in AI development, such as fairness, transparency, and privacy.
    • Identify potential biases in data and models.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate generative AI solutions into various applications, such as chatbots, content generation, and more.
  • Problem Solving: Address challenges related to bias, ethics, and fairness in generative AI output and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Documentation: Document code, models, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of generative AI and integrate new techniques where appropriate.
  • Professional Development: Engage in learning opportunities offered during the internship.
    • Network with professionals in the field to gain insights and career advice.

 

Qualifications: 

The I&T summer internship positions will be located onsite at our global corporate headquarters in King of Prussia, PA. Relocation is not provided.

  • Enrolled in a 4-year university with progression toward an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Critical Thinking, or a related field
  • Passion for Generative AI, machine learning fundamentals and/or algorithms
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Not a requirement, but previous internships or academic projects related to AI or machine learning
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates flexibility and acceptance of assignments and schedules
  • Enthusiasm to learn new tools & technologies
  • Maintains professional behavior
