Real Estate Analyst Intern

The Property Strategy & Execution team is responsible for determining the proper strategy for each of our 1,300 retail sites, 130 office sites, and managing the non-facilities related aspects of these properties. This includes site selection, acquisition, and disposal, lease negotiations, sub-tenant interactions, and responding to items relating to strategy, design, and construction. We also manage all the leases for the company and manage the building of all new retail and office locations.

As an Intern on the team you will be an active participant in daily execution of team initiatives.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Filing leases and related documentation as required per records management policy
  • Assisting with further implementation of best practices for lease administration and portfolio strategy process.  Including documenting procedures and developing risk control inventory where applicable
  • Assisting with the preparation of lease documents for execution
  • Conducting site visits to existing locations and new sites under construction
  • Performing due diligence on scenarios including examination of lease documents and proposals received from prospective landlords and tenants
  • Participating in survey of space use and design to determine if it is effectively serving the needs of the business. This will include data gathering and manipulation and analysis of that data and existing data.
  • Assisting with the internal and external reporting with the responsibility to review reporting for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assisting with various data collection and financial analysis projects including developing business cases for real estate transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess strong work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic corporate finance (P&Ls, Balance Sheets)
  • Ability and willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks.
  • Ability to follow up, and see a project or task through to completion
  • Intellectual Curiosity
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs and software such as Lucernex and Ariba

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related degree
  • Expected graduation date of May 2025
  • Minimum GPA 3.0

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: 8:30-5 M-F
