Pharmaceutical Technology Intern

Job Summary

The internship provides the opportunity to gain first-hand experience with the Pharmaceutical Technology Department of a pharmaceutical company as well as exposure to various roles within the pharmaceutical industry.   The Intern works closely with Pharm Tech personnel to support the development and execution of activities and projects as assigned while adhering to relevant regulatory guidelines, company procedure, company Code of Ethics, and acting in alignment with our Values: Collaboration, Integrity, Courage and Innovation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop knowledge of roles and functions within Pharm Tech, QA, QC, Operations and other cross-function teams.
  • Participate in the planning of a project designed to add value to an existing product and/or process and execute on said project.
  • Draft/write memos, briefs, and summaries based on results of experiments, and report results to a cross-functional audience.
  • Assist Pharm Tech personnel in providing operational support as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

Undergraduate or graduate-level coursework in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Engineering and/or related areas. 

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A practical and proactive problem-solver
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment and the ability to work independently.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with cross functional team members and external partners
  • Strong and demonstrated research skills.

Additional Information

  • Able to work 3- 4 days per week (preferably during core hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) for the equivalent of a semester
