Media Monitoring Assistant
Sugerman Communications Group, an LA-based public affairs and corporate communications consulting firm, is seeking a paid Media Monitoring Assistant. This fully remote position will be compensated at the rate of $20/hr. The expected start date is Monday, May 20, 2024.
About the role: Your primary role will be to compile a daily news report on media relevant to our clients and their issue areas. Several news monitoring resources will be available to assist with media compilation. The media report takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete each morning, and it should be completed by 11 a.m. EST/8 a.m. PST each day, Monday-Friday. You can expect to work between 10-15 hours per week. The role is slated to end in fall, but extension opportunities are also a possibility.
What we’re looking for:
- Familiarity with reading or monitoring a variety of local, state and national media outlets
- Ability to navigate and understand multiple different issue areas
- Ability to critically assess relative importance of different news articles for the firm and its clients
- A high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Some level of college course work (college junior or senior preferred)
