Data Analytics Materials Quality Engineer Co-op

The Role:
This role will work closely with the Material Quality Engineering team to identify ways to automate workflows, track Key Performance Indicators, and visually display information for quick decision making to improve quality and mitigate risk for our end of use customer.

WORK LOCATION: Aurora, IL

This co-op is for Fall 2024 and will run from June/July-December.

What you’ll do:
• Use PowerBI to create dashboards and interactive visual reports
• Transform raw data into relevant insights to aid in decision making
• Communicate with global team to understand needs

What we seek:
• Background in Computer Science or Information Technology Systems
• Experience in working with Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Familiarity with scripting and programming
• Able to transform raw data into visual insights
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Competent in MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired Major & Graduation Date:
Computer Science or Information Technology Systems
Pursuing advanced degree (Masters or PhD) or Senior pursuing Bachelors Degree

Your success will be measured by:
Success of this role will be determined by the candidate using both their team and tools to develop visualization reports which can lead to quicker decision making for faster issue resolution or identification of quality improvement opportunities leading to improved performance for our customers. This role will utilize people and teamwork skills to work closely with the cross-functional teams to gather data. These problem solving skills will require creativity and innovation to translate needs into visual reporting ultimately driving focused improvement to the DPPM metric.
