Program Experience:
CSL’s Internship Program is a hands-on experience that showcases the daily innovation and operations of a leading biotechnology company. Our environment is collaborative, global, and purpose-driven. The 12-week experience will immerse students in meaningful, thought-provoking projects that contribute to CSL's promise to save lives and protect the health of people around the world. In addition to making an impact, students will be developed personally and professionally while cultivating meaningful relationships.
Main Responsibilities:
As an Emerging Technology – Software Engineering Intern, you will gain exposure and hands on experience with emerging digital capabilities through the development of prototypes and other software products that will help shape the future of CSL’s technology landscape.
During the internship, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple emerging technology projects, propose new opportunities, and develop digital prototype solutions from start to completion.
• Software engineering: Work closely with senior engineers and researchers on developing and testing innovative solutions for various domains, such as artificial intelligence, novel data visualizations, and wearables.
• Technical research: Explore new technology spaces, develop recommendations, and share findings back with the rest of the team.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams that include engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Presentation: Report progress and findings to relevant team members and stakeholders.
• Documentation: Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team by documenting code, models, and other best practices.
• Professional Development: Engage in learning opportunities offered during the internship.
Qualifications:
The I&T summer internship positions will be located onsite at our global corporate headquarters in King of Prussia, PA. Relocation is not provided.
• Studying in a graduate or undergraduate program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science techniques preferred.
• Experience with popular frameworks/technologies for application and visualization development preferred (Examples: React, MaterialUI, d3, Typescript, and Express)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Curious and innovative mindset.
