Enterprise Associate - Data Center

What success looks like in this role:

 

A reliable and secure Datacenter is one of the pillars of Unisys solutions. As an ENTERPRISE ASSOCIATE, you will be responsible for supporting clients and projects in Unisys or clients Datacenters, interacting with other Unisys teams, vendors, and clients.

You will be part of a high-performance team of technical professionals who work together worldwide in the day-to-day to provide the best service for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works under general supervision performing Tier 1 specific tasks. Functions as a Tier 1 escalation point for well defined incidents and basic problems.
  • Supports and maintains servers, networks, messaging, mainframes, database environments and/or host infrastructures.
  • May support customer proprietary, COTS, or Unisys applications. Responds to service outages and other problems/issues.
  • Provides support for simple troubleshooting requirements.
  • Performs Incident investigation, reporting and recommendations.
  • Perform incident restoration and implements standard changes.
  • Coordinate with vendors using SOPs.
  • Expected to escalate to Resolver Groups as per defined escalation procedures.
  • Takes part in disaster recovery projects;
  • Prepares documentation of all installations, floor plans, rack or cabinet diagrams, management of all existing documentation and planning for new installations.

  • May be required to work in rotational shifts (24x7 shifts applicable) and provide on call support if required.
  • Request purchase orders for required products and services.
  • Gather and organize data for internal chargeback and client billing.
  • Prepare and submit requests for internal chargeback, client invoices and accruals.
  • Track and report supplier invoices, payments, internal chargeback, client invoices, revenue and costs within Data Center and Hybrid Infrastructure Services.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Conducts Data Center solutions planning and cost estimates for Request for Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Support the Sales team with new opportunities in the region.
  • Participate in meetings with the Sales team in potential clients, representing the Datacenter area.
  • Available to travel to support clients.
  • Support audits, providing evidence of Datacenter reports, controls, documentation, processes, procedures.
  • Conducts Data Center Security and Audits in ISO Certification Compliance, SAS70, SOX, etc.

 

 

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Key Qualifications, skills, and expertise

  • University degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Must have both verbal and written communication, logical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to support multiple clients/ technologies as part of shared support delivery.
  • MCSA/MCSE, preferred
  • Experience in enterprise backup solutions, preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.

 

Optional skills:

  • Experience using a Data Center Information Management (DCIM) tool.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
