Power BI Developer, Information Technology (JR1028)

PATH is currently recruiting for a Power BI Developer position for its Information Technology (IT) team. The IT Department works with business partners worldwide to solve information technology challenges, improve efficiencies, and meet strategic goals. 

 

The Power BI Developer role is pivotal in the creation and optimization of data visualizations and reports. Focused on harnessing the full potential of Power BI, this role collaborates closely with various internal teams to deliver insightful and user-friendly data solutions. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Report and Dashboard
    • Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data visualization needs and requirements
  • Data Transformation & Integration
    • Use Power Query and related tools to transform and integrate data from various sources into Power BI
    • Ensure data accuracy and quality in reports and dashboards
  • Collaboration & Optimization
    • Work with data architects, BI engineers, and product owners to optimize data integration and reporting processes
    • Identify opportunities for report performance improvements.
  • Data Management & Documentation
    • Maintain data dictionaries and documentation for data sources and Power BI solutions
    • Ensure adherence to data governance standards
  • Technical Expertise
    • Apply strong Power BI skills to create data models, relationships, and DAX calculations
    • Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices
  • Monitoring & Support
    • Monitor report usage and performance.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI solutions

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics and/or developing
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Power BI report and dashboard development; experience with other data visualization tools like Tableau will be considered
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server for data retrieval and integration
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies
  • Strong SQL skills and data modeling knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Microsoft Power BI certifications highly desirable
  • Proficiency in agile software development methodologies preferred
  • Must have legal authorization to work in country of application (i.e., United States, Switzerland, UK, or Senegal)

We offer our employees a competitive salary and generous benefits. For candidates based in the U.S., the annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $132,000. The final salary is based on a variety of objective factors.

Hybrid Work

PATH operates within a hybrid workplace model unless otherwise noted. Hybrid employees must reside within commuting distance to one of our PATH offices. PATH’s US offices are located in Seattle, WA and Washington, DC.
