FIRM OVERVIEW
Nonantum Capital Partners is a lower middle‐market private equity firm led by a group of experienced private equity and management executives, formed as a spin‐out from Charlesbank Capital Partners. Fund II closed in January 2022 with over $625 million of capital commitments, up from $385 million raised for Fund I in 2018.
The Nonantum team has a long history of working together, a deep specialization in the lower middle market, and a record of top quartile returns over multiple business cycles over the course of their careers. The firm typically invests $25 million to $100 million of equity per transaction in companies with enterprise values of $50 million to $500 million.

- Family‐ and founder‐led businesses where existing shareholders are seeking partial liquidity and looking to partner with investors who can help maximize the value of their remaining ownership stake.
- Corporate carve‐outs where management sees untapped opportunities resulting from independence.
- Complex situations where we can partner with management to transform businesses in transition (e.g., management succession, industry turmoil, new growth avenues).
 

TARGET COMPANIES
- Lower middle market companies with untapped potential where we can leverage our investment and operational experience and resources to build enduring value.
- Opportunities to transform businesses (e.g., carve‐out to stand‐alone, regional to national, flat to growing)
- Control buyouts where sellers and management are interested in investing alongside us to grow the business.
 

SUMMER ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION
Summer Analysts will have exposure to all aspects of the private equity process, including initial due diligence, debt financing, advisor diligence, documentation and transaction diligence, and post‐closing portfolio monitoring activities. Primary responsibilities include:
 

1. Investment Due Diligence: Summer Analysts spend the majority of their time on the investment side of the business. This includes:
- Examining industries to identify potentially attractive buyout candidates.
- Reviewing confidential information memorandums of companies for sale and drafting summaries for presentation and discussion at the firm’s Investment Committee Meetings.
- Helping to develop work plans, review data rooms, and draft data requests.
- Participating in company management presentations and due diligence sessions.

- Interacting directly with senior management of target companies and senior members at Nonantum.
- Learning about and assisting with debt financing, financial covenants, and debt documentation.
- Assisting with deal closing activities, when applicable.
 

2. Portfolio Company Strategy: Summer Analysts will also spend some time on portfolio company strategy projects and conduct a capstone project tied to a specific portfolio company. Examples of potential capstone projects include:
- Sales pipeline project for waste‐to‐energy business, working closely with senior executives of portfolio company.
- Strategy development project for new business line of a consumer products company.
 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Analytical Curiosity: Strong analytical capabilities and a curiosity to understand and analyze quantitative data to answer questions and solve problems.
- Structured and Logical Thinking: The ability to dissect a question or problem, form a hypothesis against which to run test analysis, and then run the analysis in an organized and thorough manner with high attention to detail.
- Excellent Communication: The ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, and present complex concepts/ideas in concise, easy‐to‐understand terms both verbally and on paper.
- Strong Academic Credentials: Successful candidates will have a strong academic record and high GPA.
- Passion for Investing: Candidates should possess a demonstrated and genuine interest in investing and private equity, whether through coursework, previous internships, or extracurriculars.
- Strong Ethics and Values: Candidates should possess strong ethics and values including high integrity.
