Legal Assistant

Verrill is actively reviewing resumes for a Legal Assistant position in our Portland Office. As one of New England’s top full-service law firms, we are interested in hiring talented individuals to join our team. This role is a full-time, non-exempt position supporting attorneys in our Labor & Employment Practice Group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, revising legal documents and correspondence, proofreading, timekeeping, processing monthly invoices, maintaining files (paper and electronic), calendaring and tracking deadlines, transcription, conducting online and general research, answering the telephone, assisting clients, and responding promptly with the ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

 

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with experience in a full-services law firm and/or applicable educational background. The successful candidate will be capable of producing high quality work in a timely and professional manner, while providing exceptional client service and team support.

 

The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and advanced computer skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).  Applicants should have proven project management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks successfully, and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.
