Event Management Internship

About:

We are looking for an Events Management Intern who will support Dallas Startup Week (DSW) which is sponsored by Capital One, bringing together entrepreneurs and change-makers for a week-long experience, described as the largest entrepreneurial event in North Texas, where they exchange ideas, collaborate and grow alongside the 10th largest startup ecosystem in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with speaker management and coordination
  • Assist with managing the events, as well as pre-event and post-event tasks
  • Create content for social media in real time while attending Network events
  • Help with updating website for Signature Events team
  • Manage weekly newsletter and scheduling social media for events; will collaborate with the Marketing Department

Must Have/Qualifications

  • Social Media Management experience is a plus
  • Attention to detail 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills 
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Must be able to work 15 hours per week
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets
  • This internship is Hybrid - in person only when there are events, other than that, you will be working remotely.
