Job Description:

Responsibilities

The Project Aide will be located in Grants Administration, Office of Public Health, and will have responsibilities associated with the administrative and fiscal support of grants awards involving multiple programs within the Department of Health. The Project Aide will assist in providing project and administrative support for the Grants Administration staff.  Responsibilities include answering phones, assisting to check group email accounts to sort, organize and triage emails to appropriate staff, assisting to maintain confidential files and tracking systems, assisting to prepare correspondence and other documents, scheduling meetings and assembling meeting materials, maintaining calendars, assisting to process grant-related transactions, and performing other appropriate related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in a related field or higher degree in a related field; OR two years of general office, secretarial, administrative experience and/or project assistant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

At least six months of financial/budget tracking experience; at least six months experience processing purchasing paperwork and paperwork associated with contractual agreements; experience reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness; and proficiency in MS Word and Excel. 

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. 

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
