About the Position:
Under the direction of a Senior Construction Engineer, incumbent independently performs a variety of progressively difficult professional engineering work. Incumbent serves as a member of a multidisciplinary team that performs Constructability reviews at defined stages of the project development in accordance with the Central Region's Constructability Review Policy, reviews Change Orders, and assists the District 5 Claims Engineer. Evaluates potential claims and claims and is responsible for supporting the Senior Claims Engineer, Area Construction Engineers, and Resident Engineers (RE). Incumbent analyzes Special Provisions, project plans, Standard Specifications, Standard Plans, bid documents, and project records to make recommendations on claims, potential claim records, and dispute issues. Assist RE with the preparation for Dispute Review Board presentations and maintain the District's claims database.
