Intern - University Recruiting Program

SUMMARY:

The University Recruiting team is looking for a team-oriented individual as a summer intern to support the execution of the summer internship program, and strategic planning initiatives for our campus recruitment season. This position will heavily center on event coordination and execution, branding support, and process improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to gain visibility into university recruiting. As a key member of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Operations & Programs team, your contributions will support the successful delivery of our internship program and influence Rakuten’s approach to early career hiring.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support coordination and execution of in-person summer intern events and initiatives. 

Maintain intern program administrative processes such as the event feedback process, organizing and maintain intern data, and manage the UR event supplies closet. 

Manage front-facing intern program information on our internal company webpage portal. 

Create and own the distribution of the weekly intern program newsletter. 

Create marketing content for university recruiting and campus outreach initiatives. 

Conduct research on UR resources and best practices to support the advancement of campus recruiting strategy and goals.  

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in progress

Experience with event coordination, planning, and logistics

Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills

Detailed oriented with effective organizational skills

Commitment to diversity and inclusion with an ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals from different cultures and backgrounds

Computer proficient and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

 

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $20 - $30 per hour. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
