Litigation Paralegal - Los Angeles

JURISolutions Legal is partnering with one of our government clients to hire experienced Paralegals in downtown Los Angeles, CA working a HYBRID schedule (1-3 days in the office) and the remaining days are working remotely.  Prospective applicants MUST live in the Los Angeles area.

Fundamental tasks include:
 

• Draft legal documents such as subpoenas, depositions, summaries, motions, complaints, answers, pleadings, etc.
• Review documents and cross-check information
• Trial support includes preparing exhibit cross-references, trial binders, trial notebooks, witness lists, etc.
• Summarize document production
• Conduct legal research using Lexis Nexis, CLEAR, Westlaw, Concordance, or Recommind
• Maintain, organize, and file office records and documents
• Process notices, orders, and action memos
• Enter data into computerized systems, and update databases and spreadsheets.

Requirements:
 

• 2+ years’ experience including 1 year of litigation and trial support experience required.
• Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or Criminal OR Paralegal certification
• MUST have experience documenting Table of Authorities (TOA), Table of Contents (TOC) and Temporary Restraining Orders (TRO)
• Able to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and find solutions to complete complex tasks
• Strong written and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail to ensure projects meet business goals
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
• MUST be authorized to work in the US.
