New Business Case Manager

POSITION DETAILS 

Start date: May 6, 2024

Location: Hartford, CT 

Pay: $22.56 per hour with a $500 sign-on bonus 

Training: approximately 12 weeks, Monday – Friday, in-office, from 8:30am – 5:00pm ET 

After training: you will work a hybrid schedule, 3 days/week in the office and 2 days/week from home. Shift hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm ET. 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The person in this role will be responsible for reviewing incoming life insurance applications and identifying and resolving any outstanding requirements. The role requires data entry of applications and reconciliation of the itemized goods and services contract. Resolution of outstanding requirements requires frequent communication with Producers to bring applications to a resolution. The case manager will work closely and collaborate with our internal and external sales team, along with other internal departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of insurance products, procedures and system capabilities.
  • Data entry with attention to detail and accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Review documents and identify all applications that are not in good order.
  • Place outbound phone calls and take incoming phone calls to explain outstanding application requirements.
  • Document casework in admin and workflow systems.
  • Develop professional and dependable working relationships with all accounts and producers.
  • Meet individual productivity goals.
  • Remain current on all changes and updates for products, processes, and operational procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Identify, communicate, and proactively work to solve problems or issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Established excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Professional phone presence and presentation.
  • Experience in Insurance Operations a plus.
  • Proven ability to grasp new products, concepts and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills required.
  • Flexible as business priorities change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to work in multiple databases at one time.
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude and composure in dealing with difficult situations
