Position Title: Hydrology - Field Data Collector for Wachusett Watershed

Location: 180 Beaman Street, West Boylston, MA 

Duration: June 3 – August 16, 2024

Brief Description of Internship Position:

To further the goals of the Wachusett Hydrology Mapping Project, the intern will assist with the field collection of drainage structures (culverts, stormdrains, manholes) using a tablet based ArcGIS Field Maps program. This information will be used to map the hydrology of the Wachusett Watershed.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

Locate/verify drainage structures in the field using an ArcGIS Field Maps application.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to utilize an iPad in an outdoor setting, sometimes near areas with high vehicular traffic.

Familiarity with the geography of the Wachusett Watershed (Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Sterling, West Boylston) is a plus.

Hours per week: Minimum one day per week for 5 hours.

Other relevant information: Must have a valid Driver’s License.
