Position: Information Technology (IT) Intern 

Schedule: Mon-Wed, 10am-4pm CST 

Duration: 6/10 - 7/24

Position Overview:

The Information Technology Intern will work closely with our IT team to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of IT operations and support. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in IT to apply their knowledge in a fast paced/demanding environment, contribute to projects, and develop essential skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties 

Essential Functions: 

  • Gain exposure to corporate technology including WIFI, Networking, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, Productivity suites and others.
  • Learn skills related to Restaurant industry specific technology needed to support front line and home office employees in a tier 1 support environment.
  • Participate in and support the completion of projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Currently pursuing BS / BA degree in either Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
  • Prior experience or coursework in IT support or administration is a plus but not required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Reports To: VP of IT/Internship Coordinator 

Department: Information Technology (IT) 

Work Environment/Physical Demand: 

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Willing to support on site at a few Chicago concepts (Sweetwater, Old Town Pour House, South Branch)
  • Must be able to sit at desk and work at computer for majority of workday
  • Must have good hearing for accurate communication with Bottleneck Management employees and vendors.

 

Note: This internship is unpaid. However, we offer flexible scheduling options and are willing to work with academic institutions to provide course credit, if applicable.
