US Army Reserves - Public Affairs Mass Communication Specialist (46S) - USAR Public Affairs Battalion - Indianapolis, Indiana

Work one weekend a month, two weeks a year over the summer in the Army Reserves. The USAR Public Affairs Battalion - Indianapolis, Indiana has multiple vacancies for an entry level Public Affairs Mass Communication Specialist. You do not require prior training or experience in this career field in order to qualify for this position. If you qualify, you will be given a date to attend the 10 week Basic training followed by the 26 week Advanced Individual Training (AIT). You would receive full time Army pay and Benefits while attending training. 28 Nationally Recognized Certifications are available with this training.

As an Army Public Affairs Mass Communication Specialist, you’ll supervise and assist administration of Army public affairs programs by researching, preparing, and distributing news releases, articles, web-based material, and photographs on Army personnel and activities. You’ll gather information within your unit and around the Army, you’ll develop ideas for news articles, arrange and conduct interviews, write news releases, feature articles and editorials, and conduct media training.
