Geologist

These positions serve as a Geologist for the Canyon Country District.

• Performs work that involves knowledge and application of the principles of geology.
• Reviews and assists with NEPA development.
• Plans, initiates, directs and executes the minerals program.
• Plans and initiates oversight over mining industry, sales, permits and leases to assure the orderly development and conservation on minerals materials.
• Oversees locatable and leasable minerals on public lands.
• Carries out investigations in accordance with instructions from a senior scientist or project chief.
• Communicates findings in a variety of formats and settings.
