Duties

At the entry level of this position, you will:

- Serve as a Great Lakes Area of Concern (AOC) Task Force Lead (TFL). Has responsibility for coordinating with state AOC lead, and local Public Advisory Council (PAC) to move AOC towards removal of Beneficial Use Impairments (BUIs) and delisting.

- Be responsible for the managing of large-scale sediment remediation projects in Great Lakes Areas of Concern in consultation with the immediate supervisor.

- Coordinate and oversee the technical and programmatic contributions of other federal, state, local and industry officials, where appropriate. Contributions primarily consist of verbal and written analysis and input, but can also include execution of planning, design, and construction activities.

- Develop Statement of Work for work assignments and procurement requests; initiating and preparing work assignments and procurement requests for a variety of purposes.

- Provide input to GLRRB Branch Chief on contaminated sediment and Area of Concern issues. Respond to citizen inquiries including independent meetings with citizen groups, industry, and state agencies to discuss AOC and Sediment Programs issues, priorities, and directives in consultation with immediate supervisor.

You will spend 25-50% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
