Computer Science Workshop Facilitator

Contract Title: Non-Teaching Adjunct

Positions Available: One

Rate: $47.42 + per hour

Hours: Approximately 8 hours per week

Dates: Monday, July 15 – Wednesday, August 7

 

Workshop Facilitator Schedule: One section of 1 hour and 10 minutes in one of the following periods:

Period 1 9:05 – 10:15; Period 2 10:20 - 11:30; Period 3 11:35 - 12:45.  

 

Job Description

The SEEK Summer Bridge Program is a four week non- residential, academic program for incoming freshmen admitted through the SEEK Program. The program provides participants with rigorous coursework in computer science. The program meets daily, Monday through Thursday, with academic workshops from 9:05 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.


Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree Preferred) in computer science or closely related area, as well as experience teaching.  Workshop Facilitators are expected to facilitate workshops that expose students to material taught in CSCI 127-Introduction to Computer Science.
