The Team

HP’s Supply Chain Organization is at the heart of the world’s most sustainable and just technology companies.

As a Supply Chain employee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the supply chain, while applying the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model to optimize our processes.

 

The Contracts and Project Manager job responsibilities are split between two supply chain related roles:

 

As a Contracts Manager, the candidate will be responsible for performing a wide variety of contract management activities, including contract processing, administration and management of contract files and related workflows, negotiating contracts, drafting and editing master agreements, statements of work, contract amendments, and other contract-related documents. This role will work closely with Legal, Finance, Engineering/Quality, and Factory Operations to support the development, approval, and execution of contract documents. The candidate will manage the contract lifecycle from cradle to grave. 

 

As a SC Project Manager, the candidate will be responsible for supporting and/or leading various supply chain related projects or activities that may range from tracking and improving supplier performance, developing new and/or improved supply chain processes to improve internal or external efficiency, supporting and/or developing HP/supplier sustainability programs, and other SC related program support as needs present themselves. 

 

The Contracts and Project Manager will report to the manager of the Contracts and Strategic Program Management team, which is within the Personal Systems Procurement and Business Development (PSDB).

 

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Work on a team of other Contract Managers and Program/Project Managers
  • Consult and support PSDB organization related to contract development, approval, and execution, ensuring adherence to the PSDB Contracts Initiation and Approval Process
  • Lead negotiations, creates, prepares, issues contracts using HP contract templates
  • Draft, review, edit and negotiate various contract types and amendments
  • Interpret and apply contracting principles, applicable laws, regulations, and policies and procedures
  • Partners with commodity managers within the procurement organization to ensure proper contract process initiation and approval process is followed as well as provide guidance/consultation to those commodity managers as necessary on contractual terms
  • Lead and/or support supplier performance tracking and reporting
  • Lead and/or support various supply chain related programs/projects
  • Openness and flexibility to accept and perform a wide variety of job assignments as needed to support team and broader organization charters

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or similar field. Master's degree is a plus
  • Contract management and/or strategic outsourcing management is a plus
  • Experience with SAP/Ariba contracts management system is a plus
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiar with procurement processes, bidding regulations and policies, supplier management processes, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Adhere to reporting deadlines and complete work assignments in an accurate and timely manner
  • Self-motivated with ability to focus on tasks and projects with limited to no supervision.
  • Excellent logical thinking and data analysis, able to identify business issues through data and provide relevant solutions
  • Must be proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI, Microsoft Project, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams

US Only:  COL, NY, CA, WA - Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $56K - $110K annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
