Community Coordinator

Job Summary: 

Redstone's Community Coordinator is an exciting position that has a direct impact on our Affiliate and Student Housing operations. Under the supervision of the Community Manager, the role will assist with developing comprehensive marketing and leasing strategies to ensure the success of meeting occupancy and retention, while also providing residents with support to help achieve customer service and community engagement goals. 

The position requires an outgoing, resourceful, and enthusiastic professional capable of supporting student and affiliate residents and collaborating across the entire Redstone team. The role supports critical building operations that have a direct impact on property performance and resident satisfaction. 

Reports to: Community Manager 

Wage Status: Non-exempt 

Job Responsibilities: 

Leasing & Marketing 

  • Assist with the implementation of a successful and comprehensive leasing program that will ensure the successful annual lease-up. 
  • Provide support for application administration, including becoming highly proficient with leasing software platforms. 
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with all applicants regarding pending paperwork, approval, or denial; Ensure follow-up activities occur for all prospective residents. 
  • Exhibit adaptability, sound judgement, and quick thinking to respond to needs of prospective residents. 
  • Help coordinate lease renewals, change of leaseholders, early terminations, room reassignments, and roommate matching, including communication with residents and operations team. 
  • Become highly proficient with the software platforms and ensure information is correct and up to date. 
  • Assist with preparing and executing marketing plans and developing new strategies and programs designed to meet occupancy goals, including developing an annual marketing and events calendar. 
  • Generate, cultivate, and track leads for prospective residents by utilizing effective marketing techniques.
  • Help to manage social media efforts and support website updating:
    • Develop and implement online marketing efforts and effective social media strategy.
    • Continuously monitor and update all social media channels to promote the property.
    • Work with our Redstone residential leasing teams to create cohesive content. 
  • Research and participate in local and campus events to promote our properties to the student community and reach prospective tenants.
    • This includes the creation and execution of maintaining an adequate stock of printed collateral and promotional items to ensure they are always available.
  • Provide guided tours of the community and individual units to prospective tenants and affiliated parties (parents, student organizations, etc.).
  • Operate marketing activities within the confines of the marketing budget, deviating only with prior approval. 

 

Resident Support & Retention Efforts 

  • Maintain a positive community environment for residents, guests, and families.
  • Assist with implementing resident retention efforts, including programming and events.
  • Exhibit awareness of resident concerns and participate in methods to track resident satisfaction.
  • Assist with development of resident communications, effectively utilizing a range of mediums to distribute company, university, and community information to residents in a timely fashion.
  • Support Community Manager with any needed resident outreach and support efforts including sending timely building notices and responding to resident concerns and requests.

Must exhibit exemplary communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas and goals to a diverse group of personalities in a respectful way and be a champion of our student housing community. Our preferred candidate will hold a college degree, be able to pivot with the changing needs of projects, promote team values, and exhibit self-direction. We are a small business, and all team members wear many hats! Strong computer skills, especially in the Microsoft suite.
