STUDENT ARCHITECTURAL INTERN / PAID PART-TIME POSITION

 Amie Gross Architects (AGA) (www.amiegrossarchitects.com) has been bringing handsome, environmentally conscious, new, and renovated buildings and interior environments to people of all means and needs for over thirty-five years. We are seeking to immediately add a talented Student Architectural Intern to our office located in the dynamic, public transit-accessible neighborhood of Long Island City. This is a paid part-time position.

As a small firm made up of a diverse, multidisciplinary team, we find strength in our collaborative environment. Our work includes a range of projects from planning studies to new and renovated buildings of affordable and supportive housing, educational and other community-based work, as well as health facilities. We are known for clean, uncluttered designs that blend aesthetics, affordability, and environmental awareness, and have been recognized as leaders in this area.

What's special about you: The ideal candidate understands the power of the built environment and therefore the responsibility to create a more equitable city through design. In this position you will have the opportunity to work with experienced architects on a range of projects. You will witness the research and design process and learn about building policy, including zoning laws, ADA, and government requirements. You will draft and confer with various team members at AGA.

You are an ideal candidate if you are: 

• In your later years of in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree Architecture program
• Have prior professional experience at an Architect’s office.
• Able to work a minimum of 18 hours per week between 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
• Organized, detailed-oriented, and a fast-learner.
• Proficient in Revit , AutoCAD, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suites.
• Pleasant to work with and have an ability to present ideas.
