NOAA is seeking bright, innovative, results-oriented students who are pursuing a degree or certificate program in an accredited educational institution for our Summer Intern Program. The NOAA Summer Intern Program targets students currently enrolled (or currently enrolled and accepted for enrollment) in a degree-seeking or Certificate program at least on a half-time basis. (Applicants who do not meet the definition of student by the closing date of the announcement will not be considered).

As a Student Trainee (Administration), you will receive on-the-job and formal training and perform routine administrative assignments under supervisory instruction on objectives, limitations, priorities, and deadlines, such as conducting studies of clerical work processes to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to administrative problems; assisting higher-grade specialists in performing workplace and program efficiency and effectiveness analyses and evaluations; updating manuals on policies, directives, and other memoranda; and creating various spreadsheets, databases, and other documents.
