Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructor

To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as an Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructor in our Maintenance Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to foster, maintain, and distribute the company’s Maintenance Training Program as directed by the Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Training. The successful candidate will possess Airframe and Powerplant certification and three years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft. This position will report to the Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Training.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and deliver training courses to company and contracted employees
  • Ensure classroom training records and documentation are current and accurate
  • Provide training to essential maintenance providers and customer service personnel
  • Perform the duties of a supervisor as directed by the Manager of Maintenance Training

 

Job Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Possess Airframe and Powerplant Certification
  • Knowledgeable on the company’s Policies & Procedures, Federal Regulations, and Safety requirements
  • Comprehend and explain procedures and systems in concise verbal, written and multi-media formats relative to technical instruction
  • Good written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience using and learning personal computer-based programs with skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently
  • Possess a goal- and team-oriented attitude
  • Three (3) years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity or previous instructor experience

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Practical experience Embraer EMB-145 aircraft systems, structures, and avionics systems

 

 Work Environment:

  • Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
  • Extensive travel required for training assignments

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Moderate stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
  • Long periods of standing and speaking
  • Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally, with assistance from co-workers or tools

Employment is contingent upon a valid driver’s license and clear driving record, 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required. We also require proof of high school or GED completion. Minimum 18 years of age.

Starting Rate:

$64,000.00/Annual Salary - 120,000.00/Annual Salary (Based on locale and experience)
