Business Operations Analyst
The role
As a Business Operations Analyst, you will own the data that informs the operational decision making at Voltus. In this role, you will partner with teams from across the business — from our product and engineering teams to our field operations team to our customer success team — to unpack ambiguous problems and build lasting, scalable solutions. Your work will vary from analytical problem solving to process and data improvements and building core dashboards and tables — all in the pursuit of helping grow how Voltus operates and measures itself.
What you'll be doing
- Serve as a strategic advisor for Voltus’ people leaders and General Managers, offering data driven insights and recommendations for strategic planning and goal setting
- Develop analyses, dashboards, and reporting to enable better operational decisions
- Monitor and report key metrics to proactively launch analyses and identify growth levers
- Build data systems from zero to one: from data flow to reporting and the decision-making process, ensuring that data insights are accessible and actionable across the company
- Whatever it takes to solve complex problems and build scalable processes
What we’re looking for
- Start-up experience strongly preferred, as well as experience using analytics to drive key business decisions
- Must be fluent in data storytelling and creating compelling data visualizations in Excel, Google Spreadsheets, and Tableau
- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
- Basic knowledge of finance topics such as financial accounting, modeling, and corporate finance
- A passion for the mission and problem we’re solving
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python and a familiarity with included statistical packages is a plus
- Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem; building reports and collaborating with systems administrators to design and implement solutions
