Associate - Client Service

As a member of the Vermont-based client service team, the successful candidate will be a key member of the group responsible for marketing collateral creation, consultant databases, and responding to requests for proposals (RFP), requests for information (RFI), and due diligence questionnaires (DDQ). This individual will maintain and leverage the firm’s existing collateral as well as partner with stakeholders across the firm to convey Champlain’s value proposition to prospective and current clients. Although not directly client-facing, this role is critical in the creation of client deliverables. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and respond to questions on the firm and our strategies from investment consultants, existing clients, and prospective clients. The responses are typically in the form of RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs and are completed within the firm’s response management software, Responsive. 
  • Exercise judgment in interpreting questions, using existing content, or identifying the need to develop appropriate answers, and collaborate with team members on the review of new responses.
  • Maintain a database of approved responses, contribute significantly to content development and enhancements.
  • Assist in the creation and updating of Champlain’s marketing collateral including presentation materials, factsheets, portfolio commentary, and website.
  • Contribute to team-wide initiatives to improve processes and create efficiencies.

  • Understanding of basic investment concepts, especially those applicable to the equity asset class.

 

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, is required. At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in client service support, marketing, or proposal writing, preferably in the investment management industry. Experience with Responsive (formerly RFPIO), Microsoft PowerBI, Python and SQL is a plus.
