School-Based Clinician

Salary $60,000-$70,000

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus

(applicable to external candidates only)

 

Family Continuity is seeking a School-Based Behavioral Health Clinician for outpatient counseling, physically located within a school base, and can include elementary, secondary, or alternative schools.

 

Outpatient counseling (which may include mental health and/or substance use) within a school setting working within the current structure of the school environment, including collateral work with school staff and personnel.

Minimum Education Required

Master's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, group counseling, psycho-education, individual counseling, treatment planning, and aftercare planning
  • Coordinate treatment and care with other providers as appropriate.
  • Work as liaison between assigned FC program, state agencies, funding sources, and community referral sources.
  • Conduct educational trainings as needed.
  • Utilize treatment modalities that are consistent with program goals and that best fit with clients’ age and treatment needs, including play/expressive therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
  • Perform telehealth and mobile counseling
  • Participate in continuing education activities and in-service training programs to remain knowledgeable in area(s) of expertise and to meet credentialing and privileging requirements

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or similar degree
  • Must be independently licensed with an LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
  • Current driver's license, proper auto insurance coverage, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the community
  • Access to personal cell phone
  • Ability to work a flexible Monday-Friday daytime/afternoon schedule
  • Spanish / Portuguese speaking, preferred
