EMS Data Coordinator (Pediatric) (JR-0000696)

Responsibilities

Health Research, Inc. is seeking an EMS Data Coordinator to work within The Division of State Emergency Medical Services. The incumbent will join a team dedicated to advance pre-hospital emergency care for pediatric patients throughout the state. 

The EMS Data Coordinator will coordinate all EMS Data reporting for the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) grant from the ePCR NEMSIS data repositories. The incumbent will support the Data and Informatics Unit with establishing, maintaining, and updating files and tracking systems related to specific pediatric data benchmarks and reports required for grant reporting, pediatric data quality measures and pediatric program assessment and development. The incumbent will coordinate and maintain the survey platform (Drupal) and other electronic platforms to achieve the data driven mission of the bureau. Additional duties include answering phone call inquiries, responding to data submission and request inquires, conducting follow-up data submission and transaction inquires, preparing and reviewing data quality reports, and other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience analyzing data and/or experience with data quality control and data quality improvement activities; OR an Associate degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience.  A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

At least three years of computer database experience. Experience with SQL database systems. Experience with the emergency medical service system as a provider. Experience with NEMSIS compliant data documentation systems. Experience in computer programing and project work. Experience preparing and analyzing data reports.

 

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required. 


This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.

This position requires occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays.
