Data Analytics Intern - Internal Audit

Responsibilities

  • Provide data analytics and statistics support on Internal Audit and process improvement projects.
  • Use data or statistical analysis tools in anomaly detection, process analysis, and policy decision-making.
  • Assist business owners to create effective processes for gathering, mapping, analyzing, and presenting data extracted from a complex variety of information systems.
  • Help develop and implement continuous monitoring / auditing software solutions to manage high-risk areas.
  • Share technical knowledge and expertise with the other members of Internal Audit team.

Requirements

  • MA/MS in a quantitative (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics) or technical (e.g. Computer Science) field
  • Enrolled in Graduate degree program with exposure to data analytics and statistics coursework (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science)
  • Experience working with statistical package such as R, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Stata, Matlab (or other similar tools)
  • Experience working with SQL, Python, Tableau, Excel (or other similar tools)
  • Experience with tools and methods for Machine Learning (e.g. Regression, Predictive Modeling)
  • Experience communicating data driven insights
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team to achieve project goals
  • Ability to successfully work with cross range of teams in the organization
  • Ability to research and learn new technologies, tools, and platforms

Good to Have

  • 1 year of quantitative industry experience
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools
