Department Summary:

Come join MITRE’s Strengthen Coalition Capabilities (N124) department, where we get to work on cutting edge technologies while helping our U.S. and international partners. Join us to solve challenging integration and interoperability problems across the US Security Cooperation Enterprise (SCE).  Together with our coalition partners, we seek to advance mutual policy objectives, better position collaborative capabilities, and enhance concept and mission employment across the SCE life cycle. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and execute complex models and analyses to support operational analysis of large-scale system of systems architectures.
  • Apply Modeling, Simulation, Analysis and Digital Engineering concepts and practices to our sponsor and partners’ most critical challenges.
  • Apply data analytics and visualization techniques to inform decision makers of key trade spaces
  • Accelerate transformational capabilities to the warfighter through prototyping, experimentation, and deep outreach to the operational community.
  • This work is a critical important segment of the Department’s organizations overall work program and has critical impact to the warfighter. In addition:
    • work with teams to produce concrete short-term tangible software products and recommendations that make progress towards larger, impactful results
    • collaborate with other engineers across MITRE’s organizations in order to coordinate development efforts, bring the expertise of others to bear on projects, and ensure common standards of product quality
    • apply best practices in order to develop new or existing analysis, derive results, and form actionable data-driven recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences
    • develop presentations and present the work to stakeholders.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • STEM related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Possesses or has ability to obtain and hold a SECRET clearance
  • Demonstrated team and collaboration skills across diverse set of thinking and disciplines
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence
  • Experience with object-oriented languages (Python, C#, C++, Java, Matlab, etc.)
  • Experience with analytical methods, approaches, and data visualization.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Aerospace, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science and Analytics, etc.)
  • Exposure or demonstrated work with tools, methods, and practices related to modeling, simulation, prototyping, experimentation, or data analysis
  • Demonstrated interest in complex enterprise thinking
  • Experience with source control (GitLab, Jira, Github, etc.)
  • Exposure to international collaboration (including study abroad)
  • Exposure to systems level thinking and design.
