Production Associate, Next Generation Sequencing (1699)

New England Biolabs (NEB) is inviting applications for the position of Production Associate. The successful candidate will work as a member of the team responsible for the NEB Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) product line. Reporting directly to the Group leader, the candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting in different aspects of production in the NEBNext products including formulation of reagents, troubleshooting, and quality control.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manufacture of buffers and enzyme mixes for next generation sequencing sample preparation.

Adhere to protocols and maintain proper documentation.

Assist in all aspects of the production process for the NEBNext product line, including quality control testing, inventory management and technical service.

Participate in other aspects to support the production line including troubleshooting, protocol review, buffer preparation, and stability studies.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

B.S. in Biology or related field

Experience performing standard molecular biology and laboratory techniques.

Have ‘good hands’ with proven bench skills and an ability to perform careful and consistent experiments.

Ability to work as a member of a cooperative and fast-paced team.

Demonstrated capability of high-quality work and keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Be goal and deadline oriented, capable of self-management.

Have a strong work ethic, emphasizing both efficiency and quality of work.
