Operations Assistant, Part Time

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Title: Operations Assistant, Part Time

Compensation:  $20/hr

Schedule: 25 hrs/week, Monday -Thursday 11-6pm from July 1th - August 23, 2024

Location: 100 West 2nd Street Boston, MA 02127 

 

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Resident of the City of Boston
  • Between ages of 19-24 

Reporting to Maya Grevatt, the Operations Assistant will work with the Operations team to support the daily functions of the office and studios. The person in this role will help the office by assisting with administrative tasks such as mail sorting, supplies management, and office space optimization. For the studios, the operations assistant will work with the Operations Coordinator to coordinate and order materials that the studios need. Overall, this role will play a crucial role in the organization’s success by helping optimize the processes in place. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Organizing mail and ensuring it gets to the correct person/studio
  • Take inventory of office supplies and communicate what is needed
  • Assisting the operations coordinator in tracking studio supplies and budget reconciliation
  • Supporting organizational events, meetings, and tours
  • Contributing to teen recruitment and staff hiring efforts as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appreciation of the role of art, design, and entrepreneurship in youth development; deep belief in Artists For Humanity’s mission
  • Experience in an office or non-profit environment
  • Detail oriented and proactive
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Resident of the City of Boston
  • Between ages of 19-24 
  • Must be a US Citizen, US National or Permanent Resident
