PDT Flight Training Scheduler I

To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Flight Training Scheduler I in our Flight Operations Department. The primary responsibility of the position is assisting with scheduling tasks and supporting the Training Scheduler II and the Training Coordinator in managing and coordinating student training schedules. The Flight Training Scheduler will play a supportive role in ensuring efficiency in training schedules; participating in scheduling tasks as requested; maintaining compliance with the Piedmont flight department manuals and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations; and demonstrating proficiency in training scheduling systems and reporting tools. The successful candidate will have experience or familiarity with scheduling software, preferably Mint TMS. This position will report to the Manager, Flight Administration.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Assist in managing and coordinating student training schedules
  • Support the Training Coordinator and Scheduler II in daily and future scheduling tasks
  • Help arrange travel and accommodation for training
  • Participate in administrative tasks within the scheduling department

 

Job Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience or familiarity with scheduling software, preferably Mint TMS

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in flight training scheduling or a similar role
  • Knowledge of scheduling systems like Mint TMS, Sabre, CrewTrac, CrewQual, or other CAE products
  • Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment

 

Work Environment:

  • Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular shifts
  • Some travel is required

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
