Summer Camp Counselor

This job opening for a Summer Camp Counselor is for the
NorthEast Family YMCA: 9400 Mill Brook Road Louisville Kentucky 40223
Rising Star, it's ages 5 to 7. This camp will be at Springdale Community Church. Our themes are more child-related. Some of our themes are Space Expedition, Disney, Wild West, Little Artist, Under the Sea, Partying in the USA, etc. We will be swimming at the cove every Monday, every Tuesday will be our Dress-up day, every Wednesday will be our field trip days and Fridays will be our fun water days. Thursdays occasionally we will have yoga with an instructor.
Supernova Camp is for ages 7 to 12. This camp will be at the North East YMCA. They will be swimming Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri at the Calypso Cove. This camp is a skilled base camp which means they are required to follow the guidelines. Every week their skill focuses will correlate with a sport as well as every single activity that we do day-to-day for that week and field trips will be Wednesdays which will also correlate with the theme of the week. Some of the sports focuses of the week are softball, soccer, baseball, basketball, dance, archery, etc.
The pay rate for counselors is $14 an hour; If interested in being a lifeguard you will get trained here at the Y and will be paid as well as a raise of .50. You will get about 40 hours a week for either camp.
