Communications Internship - Ceisler Media & Issue Advocacy (Summer 2024)
Ceisler Media & Issue Advocacy is looking for interns to assist associates with a variety of activities in the Philadelphia office. Interns are invaluable and complement the work that we do as a firm.
Experience will include:
- Social media development
- Public relations and media outreach
- Research
- News monitoring and more
- Graphic design
- Digital asset management
Interns will also have access to educational training sessions, and speakers and events (including networking events).
Internships are open to qualified candidates. In-person internships are recommended to experience the full agency environment, but we remain flexible with remote internships.
Internships may be completed for college credits. A Ceisler Media internship does not guarantee employment upon completion.
Education:
We are looking for strong writers. The following majors are preferred:
- Communications
- Marketing
- Advertising
- Journalism
- Digital Media Trends and Analytics
- Political Science
- Graphic Design
- Social Influence
Requirements:
- Sophomore, Junior, or Seniors.
- Previous internship(s) or relevant experience
- Strong writing and/or design skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work a minimum of 12- 20 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks
- An interest in politics, issue advocacy and what is going on in the area and across the state is a plus but not a requirement
Responsibilities:
- News monitoring
- Conducting research for clients
- Crafting messages for clients
- Planning events
- Monitoring meetings and external events
- Organizing news clips for clients
- Drafting media advisories, releases, blog posts and social media posts
- Conducting media outreach on behalf of clients
- Planning and drafting social media content
- Maintaining digital files
