The Angus King for U.S. Senate campaign is currently hiring Field Organizers for the 2024 election cycle. These positions will be based in Maine and will require regular travel throughout the state.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Field Organizer include:
▪ Build and implement voter contact and campaign outreach strategies, including door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and community-building events
▪ Recruit, train, and manage a network of volunteers and volunteer leaders
▪ Organize and motivate volunteers to meet and exceed volunteer recruitment, voter contact, voter persuasion, and GOTV goals
▪ Manage and maintain a volunteer database
Skills
The ideal candidate will:
▪ Have strong communication skills and enjoy working with people
▪ Be well organized, responsible, and have the ability to multitask
▪ Understand the importance of using metrics to measure their success and the success of volunteers
▪ Prior experience in organizing and volunteer recruitment is a plus, but not required
▪ Experience living or working in Maine preferred
▪ Experience with VAN/Votebuilder preferred
All candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
